Dream House: Lookout House in Connecticut

Dream House: Lookout House in Connecticut

We continue our Dream House series with one of the most beautiful houses we’ve featured yet. If you like a house that blends both modern and classic elements, then this home is right up your alley.

The Lookout House in Fairfield, CT is a stunning home, complete with multiple fireplaces and an indoor/outdoor pool. Not too shabby, eh? A project by Ike Kligerman Barkley Architects, the 25-person team offers both architectural and interior design in a diverse and wide ranging practice. Built in 1979, the Lookout House has undergone a transformation to erase aging and give the home a beautiful and warm new look. A completely new arm of the house was built to the east that encompasses the master bedroom and den on the pool level. I really love the stone foundation, paired up with wooden beams and big open windows that give the house a very solid, yet open air appeal.
